We are no longer waiting. It has been decided...
We will remain in good ole Columbia. This may come as a large shock to some of you out there, but I am very excited about this. Crazy, I know...and horribly ironic. Somehow, even through all my days of depressed turmoil pointed at this place, I knew that I would at some point love this mid-Missouri town and its flavor. Well, it has happened. Furthermore, I am grateful for it. It is such a gift to like the place you live and to feel comfortable in it amongst its roads and people, its seasonal rhythms and quirks. One of our friends said that if we got to stay in Columbia, it would be like a victory lap...I like that. I hope he's right.
Soon, T.J. and I are going to sit down and write out a list of things that we will do during our last (for sure, our last) year in Columbia. So, tune in for more on this developing story.
For now, dear readers, go enjoy where you are. Wherever it is, it is good.
