snowy days

i have really enjoyed the snow this year.  maybe it's because we haven't had a ton of it.  maybe it's because i know our dry climate really needs some moisture to combat against another summer filled with wildfires and drought.  or maybe it's because the kiddos are big enough now to go out in the backyard by themselves and imagine and play for such long stretches of time.  they are pretty fun to watch.

meanwhile, inside, t.j. and i are listening to good music and sipping on a hot cup of coffee or tea.  there is soup simmering on the stove and slippers on our feet.

this is good stuff.

dirt pile

man oh man, this pile of dirt has been the best thing.  it never gets old.  and every kid loves it.  but, the person that has logged the most hours on that thing is most definitely carlyle dave.
