Before we made the final trek out west, we stopped off through Kansas City. There was a Tomlin family day planned which are always entertaining, fun, and eventful. On this particular family day, we got to meet our new cousin, Charlie. Charlie is actually three weeks older than Luella and Carlyle...he's also about twelve times as big. The photo above shows us with Charlie and his fabulous parents, Andee and Scott. At family day, Charlie shared his little swimming pool with our kiddos. Here were the reactions: Luella--sheer terror. Carlyle--found his calling in life thus far. I want you to look closely at his face in these photos...the boy is intense. I think he may be the next Michael Phelps...only cooler.
The rest of our time in Kansas City was just great, but too short. We got to see some dear friends and had really good family time (including fathers day celebrations) with Mike and Jayme, Grandma Carmen, and of course all of Shari and Tyler's crew. Sadly, my photo memory card was full by this point in our voyage, so I do not have more pictures of our happy times. We love being in Kansas City. I don't think it has fully set in that we won't be able to just hop in the car and zip over in two hours.
P.S. It has been made very clear to me that people would like me to hurry along now and post about the house. Well, just sit tight. I am cleaning the house this week and will post some photos soonly.
