Theme Day

So, let me explain what's happening here. As a little girl, I played with a lot of dolls. There were complicated plotlines--tornadoes, evil queens, drive-in movies (which was loading the Barbies up into the convertible and going to watch TV). But before I could act out any story, I had to decide what each doll would wear. This would take up at least half of my playing time. I always, always, always reveled in the act of choosing the outfits.

Well, upon having children, I have rediscovered this love. Um, dressing babies is awesome. It is consistently rewarding--because they always look cute no matter what you do. And, the options are endless! We have been very fortunate to have the most stylish hand-me-downs from Shari's clan (thank you, thank you) as well as quite a few clothes from other friends finished having kids. I have also picked up some great stuff on the circuit. Alas, every so often in the morning, I go a little overboard in my outfits for the kids, bordering on costumes...but, it's entertaining. What can I say? It's my own weird creative outlet, hearkening back to my childhood. I figure I'll start sharing the outcome with you from time to time. We'll call it "Theme Day".

So, here's your first installation, ships ahoy!!
