halloween

well, this was the first halloween in some time that i have not been miss mary mack.  i missed my black outfit with silver buttons down the back.  actually, i didn't dress up at all this year.  that is not to say i was in a "humbug halloween" spirit.  i was just too busy getting carlyle and luella ready for the big day.  they were pebbles and bam-bam.  i must admit that they were especially cute.  luella is such a little pebbles, and carlyle is definitely a bam-bam...BAM-BAM!  he l-l-loved his pretend little prehistoric club.

the kiddos did not do too much actual trick-or-treating.  we did quickly visit our neighbor across the street, rachel.  she is in her nineties and is a very kind soul.  she made up special little gift bags for both of them!  we also walked over to our friends' house...sarah and justin.  they are high-quality peeps.  it has been so very inexplicably nice to have made fast friends here in colorado.  we hung out there for awhile before walking back home and putting our little stone-age babies to bed.  then, in keeping with a halloween tradition to watch some cooky film involving lovable creatures, t.j. and i watched the incredibly non-classic teen wolf too.  it is a real insult to its predecessor (which we watched a couple years back on halloween).  oh well...it was still a very fun night indeed.
