f.o.t.d.

it has been awhile since i have written a "find of the day" blog entry.  it is true that having kids has impacted my garage saling and thrift storing time allowance.  hark, it has not impacted my love and fervor for secondhand items.  items with style, items with stories.  

last week, all four of us stopped off (on the way back from a chick-fil-a lunch) at an estate sale here in old greeley.  the woman running the sale must have had some kind of meltdown and was just slashing prices on anything you blinked at.  she clearly wanted to empty the house as quickly as possible.  soooo, we helped her out by purchasing some really neat stuff.

i think t.j. and i walked away with differing f.o.t.d.'s.  mine was this cute little collection of angel figurines.  don't they look like a "doo-wap" angel band?  perfect for the holidays too!

t.j.'s f.o.t.d. is a sixties dining set.  now, did we really need a new table and chairs? no...but, when the circuit bestows a gift (at $35.00 mind you), that gift should not be spurned. 

 

with a little cleaning and new fabric, eating a meal or playing cards will be a very swanky experience.
