another post about visitors? really, katrina?

i know, i know, but dear reader,  it seems we have been spoiled with good company this summer.  and, i mean it, spoiled.  we care so deeply for every single person who has graced our guest room door entrance.  somehow, it makes this house seem more like our home.

anyway, our most recent callers were gail and brian frey from old columbia days.  you may also recall reading about them when we were out in philly since that is where they have been living for several years.  they were making a western tour and we were lucky enough to make the cut. 

something i love about the freys is that they are both easygoing and pretty much up for anything.  so, a day chasing around toddlers did not phase them one bit.  carlyle and luella loved them both.  i wish you could have seen luella's grateful expression when gail picked her up at the park allowing a safer distance from the nearby dog. 

we had a wonderful time talking about life stuff as well as reminiscing...we found this old photo from mid-mo days: 

our other dear friends, the rameys, are also in this.  the funny thing here is that everyone seems to be in their own little worlds.  well, we tried to take a similar photo before brian and gail left...here is the result:

ha!  maybe not quite as good as the original, but still fun.  i love how car and lu are looking straight at the camera as if to protest the shenanigans of us silly adults.
