january

hello.  how is it possible that january is ending?  i still feel like we just got back from Wisconsin for Christmas.  i should fill you in on all the holiday hoopla.  and hopefully, i will do that.  but, not today. 

today, i will just share a few photos of those kids.  they keep reminding me that they are not babies anymore.  they don't take naps everyday.  they hold intelligent conversations with me.  they want to dress themselves.  they have their own strong opinions on issues.  they ride their little bikes on the sidewalk. 

it seems like we're entering some new chapter.  childhood.  the real thing.  the time they'll look back on with wonder (hopefully).  when days seemed so long and your biggest fret was going to bed or eating something green.  i hope we do right by our kids during these years.  my plan is lots of pretend play and countless hours outside.  i think they will be on board with that. 

(p.s. this photo is taken less than five minutes from our house.  we can't believe it.  there are bald eagles here regularly.  you should come visit.)
