backup: thanksgiving

another successful colorado thanksgiving just had to be documented.  dare i way, it was my best turkey yet!

papa and mimi were here and they filled our hearts.  seriously, we have the best time with them.

jayme gave us a thankful tree last year and we had a lot of fun filling it up this year.  definitely a new tradition.  everyone who came to dinner filled out at least one card.

t.j.'s colleague and her fiancee came.  also, in attendance were kristin, steve, eli, and jonah.  our kids love each other ... and jonah was also quite enamored with our friend francis (who came with his lovely wife rachel).  francis is a geologist and jonah thought this was pretty much the most amazing thing ever.  they talked about rocks for about an hour straight.

so very much to be thankful for.  good food, great people, a warm house, healthy and happy kids.  family.  thanksgiving has become one of my favorite holidays.
