the new home!
i think i am still in shock. this house, well, this house is miraculous. t.j. and i had resigned ourselves to the fact that we would not be finding a house this summer. and, then, wham!, along comes our house! i've always wanted to buy a house that i've admired over and over again from the street. well, folks, that's what happened. our realtor says that i "willed" this house onto the market with the power of my mind. not sure about that, but i am sure that this house is an undeserved blessing.
we close in late august. so, the nomadic journeys will continue...but, man, right now, it's pretty good to be a nomad--we're headed to the mountains for two weeks and then will travel to wisconsin. we'll try to keep you posted!

another risk
so, i told you a few posts ago that i'm trying to take more risks. well, here is one that has been in the works for a few months now. it is my etsy store. on it, i sell vintage items. i am putting my love for the garage sale circuit to work and we shall see what develops.
if you would like to take a gander, click here. thank you. it has been a lot of fun already. it feels good.

nomads for now
well, since i last posted, we moved out, moved in with wonderful friends in greeley, and took a road trip to russell, ks. oh, and yes, we go to fort collins approximately three times a week trying to find a house we want to buy....nothing yet.
living out of suitcases seems so glamorous when you are childless, but with children, it has been a bit more trying. on the whole, the kiddos have been real troopers. they are rolling with the punches just like t.j. and i are.
here are some photos for your amusement:
as you can tell, we are doing our best to embrace these summer moments. summer is just the best...especially when you are two and a half.

seventeen fourteen
another move is upon us. at the end of the month, we will hand over our key to some lovely renters. we have our sights set on fort collins and we will get there somehow! if you are thinking, "hey wait a minute lady! you haven't mentioned anything of the sort on this old blog here," well, you are right and my apologies. it has been a rather fast chain of events. we still don't really have a place to live yet. this summer, we will be embracing a nomadic lifestyle.
anyway, leaving is hard. i have bonded with seventeen fourteen twenty second avenue. it has housed so many special moments for our little family. it has welcomed loved ones from across the country. it has been a constant comfort for the last two years.
so, as i sit and look at the stacks of boxes around me, i can't help but wonder a little, "what are we doing?" but, i've had this small tug urging me to take more risks...and well, i guess this would qualify. so, here i step out (thankfully, with my best friend at my side...and my two awesome kiddos) and hope for the very best.
but, before completely moving on, i thought i'd put together a little "photo montage", if you will, of this lovely home:
